So true that you can implement Lean manufacturing principles in any company no matter what the industry. I have worked across many industries in management roles and consultancy roles and can honestly say that if more companies tried to implement Lean there would be far fewer companies failing and less work being outsourced overseas. Just a reminder of what Lean manufacturing principles are as described by womack and jones when they introduced lean to the west with their book "The machine that changed the world."
